Update 04/10/2006

Car is back from the restorer.  Paint and body are complete and bumper fillers are in place.  I have installed the grill, bumpers, headlight trim rings, taillights, and all chrome around the wheels and lower part of the body.  In addition, new door seals were installed.

The process we used is to clean all parts well, remove all tar and other contaminants.  We then used Barkeepers Friend and then 0000 steel wool on al chrome pieces.  This was followed by Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and then Meguiars wax.

Assembly was done one side at a time using all new bolts, screws and retainers.  Most lined up pretty good and some took a little persuasion.

Update 01/15/2009
Finally more pictures after the restoration.
